Morgan Anderson joined FFA for the opportunity to learn more about what connects everyone — agriculture! Growing up in rural Appalachian Ohio, Morgan says she was always surrounded by agricultural production but didn’t grow up directly involved, aside from her small poultry operation. So, her time in FFA helped her build her knowledge of agriculture.

While in FFA, she had a plant systems supervised agricultural experience (SAE), where she worked as a landscaper at a wedding venue in central Ohio. Once she graduated, she continued an SAE placement in education and communication by working for the Ohio Farm Bureau and Ohio FFA Camp Muskingum.

She remembers attending the Washington Leadership Conference in 2018; that experience broadened her understanding of FFA from a local scale to a national one.

Morgan hopes to be people-focused throughout her life. She says she can’t wait to start her year as a national officer. “I believe that a life well lived is one that’s full of love and service, and that’s exactly what I hope to achieve as a national officer.”
