Pfc. Amanda Rivera Miranda, born in Puerto Rico and enlisted from Florida on May 20, 2025, serves as a Veterinary Food Inspection Specialist (68R) with the Veterinary Readiness Activity, Fort Cavazos Veterinary Branch at Fort Johnson, Louisiana. After completing Basic Combat Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, she underwent eight weeks of Advanced Individual Training in San Antonio, Texas, where she distinguished herself as a Platoon Sergeant.
In her first year of service, Pfc. Rivera Miranda has conducted monthly food safety inspections across various facilities, including food trucks and dining establishments, at locations such as Pine Bluff, Arkansas; Joint Base Camp Bullis, Texas; Camp Beauregard, Louisiana; and New Orleans, Louisiana. Her efforts ensure the safety and quality of food supplies, directly supporting mission readiness and community health.
