Pfc. Bailey Senften, a native of Lancaster, Ohio, serves as an Animal Care Specialist (68T) with the Veterinary Readiness Activity, Fort Cavazos Veterinary Branch at Fort Johnson, Louisiana. A 2023 high school graduate, she enlisted in the Army in 2024 with aspirations of becoming a veterinarian. Her active involvement in the Future Farmers of America (FFA), where she revitalized her chapter and served as president for three years, provided her with a strong foundation in animal science. This experience equipped her with practical skills such as blood draws and vaccinations prior to her enlistment. At Fort Johnson, Pfc. Senften applies her expertise in both clinical settings and field operations, caring for military working dogs and supporting veterinary missions vital to Army readiness.
